About
Peep Peep simply can't not art.
Starting off with theme songs for her childhood imaginary friends and jingles for her favourite breakfasts at 6, a little Peep couldn't resist writing the stupidest little song about every memory that struck a chord with her.
She started writing and composing songs at 13, mainly drawing from her feeling like a misfit in a crowd of misfits.
While her originals were only privy to those around her, she found performing at 19, in local venues (in Hyderabad, then Mumbai).
At 29, she has finally decided to release her music for it to be available to a larger audience. She hopes to drown listeners in dulcet metaphors, and hopes that there is something to enjoy for both, listeners of the music and the words.
Inspired by musicians like Hayley Williams, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne and Amy Lee, she describes her sound as 'pop that sneaks up on your feelings'. Her music is melancholic and immersive, while the lyrics are emotionally incisive.
Single: Tipsy Topsy Tears
-
We’re dancing to two different songs;
One happy, one forlornDon’t mind my tipsy topsy tears,
Don’t take them to heart
I knew that it would come to this;
I knew it from the startDon’t walk away from me now,
Too much has transpired,
This romance we conspired
Your breath; this desire.Do you want me to let go
Or do you want me to stay
I’ll hold onto it until you push me away,
Until you push me awayDon’t mind my tipsy topsy tears,
It’s tearing me apart that;
Even after all this time,
You’d think that I’d be smartDon’t pick a fight with me now?
I don’t have the patience
I’m trying to face reality
Not build castles in complacenceDo you want to let me go
Just like people say
Or do you want to take a walk on the
Boulevard till everything is A-okay,
Everything is A-okayWe’ll fight our fights, Till it’s alright
We’ll run the race, At our own pace
I’ll take your hand, When you can’t stand
You’ll take good care; Of me, you'll swear
But time will pass, and then at last
We’ll both wake up & it won’t be enough
…But what a good run it was.I’ll ignore your tipsy topsy tears
I’ll take the hint that you’ve sent.
I wish that things ended differently,
But our love has reached its end.
